Benholm Group cultivates botanical transformation at W Hotel Edinburgh.
Nestled within Edinburgh’s iconic St James Quarter, the W Hotel offers an unparalleled guest experience with panoramic views of the city's skyline.
Renowned for its avant-garde designs, W Hotels, part of the Marriott International portfolio, sought to stamp its own brand of luxury into the hospitality landscape of Edinburgh. And a pivotal role in this was biophilic design, to enhance guest experience.
As such, it called on Benholm Group to bring its expertise and creativity to the planting requirements.
Benholm set about integrating a comprehensive variety of interior and exterior planting including impactful planters at the main entrance and lobby, creating an inviting and lush welcome for guests.
Over 100 decorative moss bowl displays were placed in guest rooms, adding a touch of natural elegance and tranquillity. Extensive interior and exterior planting were implemented on the terraces and common areas ensuring that every corner of the hotel was adorned with greenery, enhancing the overall ambiance giving immediate and profound transformation.
The biophilic elements seamlessly integrated into the hotel's design to offer a contemporary ode to the city of Edinburgh whilst honouring the heritage of the Marriott International group and setting a new standard for the power of plants in the hospitality industry.
