Every now and again, a special project comes along where the surfaces and materials are the key focus of the design. No fuss, no clutter. The walls and floors do most of the talking, becoming the perfect backdrop to create a unique, minimalist interior. This is certainly the case at Céline's flagship store in Miami, designed by Valerio Olgiati.

The Swiss architectural firm chose soft blue marble and pyramid shapes for the luxury fashion brand's two-storey shop in the city's design district where Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Tom Ford are already based. It's Céline's third store to open in North America, with branches already in New York and Beverly Hills.

Appointed by Céline with an open brief, Valerio Olgiati specified Brazilian Pinta Verde marble for the walls and floors, as well as the premise's facade.
