Domus launches Pergo, its new engineered wood, laminate and vinyl flooring collection
Domus has launched Pergo – an engineered wood, laminate and vinyl flooring range, combining exceptional design and long-lasting durability along with an easy click system method of installation.
"Inspiration comes from the patterns, grains and knots of natural wood and colour, texture and light are key to its design," says Domus. "Craftsmen create the vinyl and laminate flooring using a cutting-edge digital process that ensures the tiniest details such as timber knots or cracks in stone are recreated in the exact proportion to obtain a perfect balance."
Domus has also emphasised the practicality and durability of Pergo. All of the flooring range is not only water resistant but stain and scratch resistant, which makes it as ideally suited for hotels and restaurants as it is to a city apartment or country home.
Looking more closely at the Pergo wood flooring, it's available in a wide variety of colours, gradings and formats, all designed to enhance any interior, from a pale, smooth ash to a dark, rustic oak. Now also available in planks up to 240cm long and 26cm wide – this length and width help rooms to appear more spacious, offering a stylish, contemporary feel to interior spaces.
Whether oiled or lacquered, all planks have a surface treatment that protects the wood whilst highlighting its natural appearance. With a new extra matt lacquer, Pergo wood can now offer the look of an oiled floor with the easy maintenance and protection of a lacquer. Planks are treated with seven layers of protective lacquer, resulting in the uniquely matt look of an oiled or even untreated wood floor.
With a robust and innovative construction, comprised of three layers of wood, Pergo planks are designed for maximum durability. The grain runs in different directions to reduce the natural swelling and shrinking caused by fluctuations in humidity and temperature.
And Pergo wood uses patented PerfectFoldTM 3.0 click-system technology for fast and simple installation; planks can be clicked together with no risk of damage and can be reinstalled easily if they need to be lifted up and put back down again.
