Presenting a new curated palette of on-trend shades selected from an extensive collection of over four hundred colours, Graham & Brown has announced its 2021 Colour Edit, a continuation of the brand's 75th anniversary celebrations.

Founded by childhood friends Harold Graham and Henry Brown, the Graham & Brown business has been family-run from its headquarters in Blackburn, Lancashire since 1946. Made up of ninety hand-picked hues, the 2021 Colour Edit presents the latest additions to the paint collection, alongside popular returns.

All wallpapers from the Graham & Brown collection are matched to four complementary paint shades, handpicked by the colour experts for precise colour co-ordination. All Graham & Brown paints are water-based, low odour and low VOC, resulting in fewer fumes and a more environmentally friendly product. Paint cans are fully recyclable, and there is no animal testing involved in any Graham & Brown product.

Pulling inspiration from its rich heritage, the Colour Edit is an homage to the Graham & Brown colour experts. Colours are mixed by eye from four base pigments by the in-house experts; perfect colour vision is essential and is identified using The Farnsworth–Munsell Colour Vision test, which measures superior colour analysis.

The colours within this made-to-order collection are available in four luxurious finishes, skilfully developed to suit a range of interiors.

Moving forward from the traditional swatch method and further simplifying the paint selection process, the Graham & Brown App uses augmented reality to allow customers to visualise paint and wallpaper on the walls of their home. Users are able to browse hundreds of paints and wallpapers, save favourites and check out online.

"We've been noticing some interesting consumer shifts, away from pale, muted shades towards a rich and moody palette. Customers are becoming braver with their walls and favouring daring paint shades such as Whale Tail, Contrast, and Herbert. In fact, our top three paint colours are now dark greens and navy blues, completely outselling any of our whites, greys or pastels.

"Our 2021 Colour Edit has been led by this newfound customer confidence. Alongside our last two Colours of the Year, Epoch and the bestselling Adeline, we've also added a gorgeous terracotta red hue Roger Red which was identified as a key colour trend for the coming season. Our market-leading 1% sheen level is well suited to these shades, creating a super luxurious velvety finish for a cocooning, comforting interior." - Abby Hesketh, Product Manager and Paint & Colour Specialist.
