Marc Goodwin's photographs give us a peek inside leading Dutch architects' studios
If you've always been curious to see inside some of the most acclaimed architects' studios in the Netherlands, then architecture photographer Marc Goodwin's newly released images will not disappoint. Getting under the skin of firms such as MVRDV, Studioninedots and OMA, it's the latest collection in an ongoing series that documents architect studios from all over the world.
Driven by a desire to see which firm has the most appealing space, the founder of photo agency Archmospheres has shown us inside the offices of some of the biggest names in architecture, from Paris and London to Dubai and Beijing.
"This job started with one commission, in Finland and then snowballed," Marc told Material Source. "Actually, I became a photographer instead of an architect due to a near phobia of offices. So perhaps this is therapy! Added to that of course, it is a great way to meet architects around the world."
Does he have a favourite? MVRDV, apparently. Founded in 1993 by Winy Maas, Jacob van Rijs and Nathalie de Vries, the firm's Rotterdam home lies inside the iconic post-war monument Het Industriegebouw, housing 140 staff. A light and airy space, it's one of many to feature in Marc Goodwin's latest series. Take a look at some highlights below.
