Kate Kendall is a historic environment professional with a love of conservation and historic buildings. Following 10 years in local government she left Manchester in 2011 to put her skills into practice on a new project. With her partner they renovated a French farmhouse which was completed in the summer of 2012.
On Kate’s return to the UK, she completed a Masters in Commercial Building Surveying at Liverpool JMU for which she achieved a distinction in late 2013 and received an award for from the IHBC. After 9 years at Historic England working with heritage at risk, channelling grant funding and working on Heritage Action Zones, Kate left HE in summer 2022 to join the Heritage Fund, expanding her passion for all things heritage.
