Tana West's (UN)WOVEN installation explores barriers and divisions across Europe

An award-winning installation, entitled (UN)WOVEN by artist Tana West, is being exhibited at London's Material Lab in a collaborative show between the British Ceramics Biennial and manufacturer, Johnson Tiles.

Held during London Craft Week, West’s dramatic work focuses around an ongoing investigation into the barriers and divisions across Europe, both real and perceived, and what this means in the context of Brexit.

The installation features two works; 'Pavers' and 'Hard Border', and contains clay-like soil sent from across Europe. "Both London Craft Week and the British Ceramics Biennial provide fantastic platforms for showcasing the wealth of rising talent from the burgeoning UK ceramics industry," says John Porter, Marketing Manager at Johnson Tiles.

"As a British manufacturer of ceramic tiles, we’ve long been dedicated to supporting and nurturing designers and makers operating in this medium through championing their work at every opportunity.
