Top design hotel, Eden Locke, Edinburgh features luxurious Smoked Oak Flooring.

Located in the heart of Edinburgh, Eden Locke is a design-led aparthotel from leading real estate developers, U Developments.

Created to immerse visitors in the local culture, Eden Locke was designed with both functionality and beauty in mind. The stunning living area allows guests to experience the ‘unique and authentic’ surroundings, while the functional living space is kitted with fully fitted kitchens, providing urban travellers with the option to cater for themselves.

To complement the trend-conscious aparthotel, leading flooring manufacturer Atkinson & Kirby was chosen to provide a high-quality flooring solution to both stand the test of time in durability and design.

Around 1600m2 of Atkinson & Kirby’s Ness Smoked Oak flooring was used in the Eden Locke renovation, providing the perfect solution for the aparthotels bedrooms, bars and corridors. Ness Smoked Oak adds a traditional look to any room, thanks to its filled knots and splits it has bundles of character and provides a beautifully aged look.

The second Locke aparthotel was created by renovating an existing office building that had fallen into disrepair and given a new lease of life by the team at U Developments. With help from a variety of manufacturers, including Atkinson & Kirby, the designers were able to achieve their vision for the venue.

Being well received by guests and industry members alike, the aparthotel has been named one of the ‘top 10 design hotels in the world’ in a list by industry experts.
